Inspired By #34

Time for another Inspired By Challenge.  This photo really caught my eye the other day and I decided to use it as my inspiration today.  It is such a fun picture.

Once again so many ways to interpret the photo: colors, rosettes, party, drinks, flowers, circles...I can't wait to see what you do.

I decided to go with a party theme and I pulled out the colors as well.  It never hurts to have some birthday stuff on hand and I am low so I decided it was time to start building it again.

I have used the Pebbles Hip, Hip, Hooray collection to create this ensemble.  I used Glue Lines® to hold the panels down, as well as the 'ruffled' strip of paper.  To create the rosette I used the 1" and 2" Glue Dots®. Finally to hold the buttons in place I used Glue Dots®.

Some close-up shots

I paper pieced Balloon Kaylee (Some Odd Girl) using the mini Glue Dots®.  Finally, Kaylee was mounted using the Pop Up Glue Dots®.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #33

I am really enjoying Chicago with my hubby and CHA was amazing.  I am so glad that I was finally able to go!  Definitely in the heat of summer and this inspiration photo I have brings up summer feelings for me.  Makes me think of spending days at a summer cottage on the lake... not that I ever have but one can dream ;)

Now what will you do with this photo?  The colors, distressed, stripes, woodgrain, boating, the number...

For my project I was inspired by the woodgrain, the stripes (although my striped paper is mostly covered, LOL) and the colors. I used my Crate Paper Storyteller papers along with some Unity Me Documented SMAK stamps.  I cut the circle strip using my Quickutz  Circle Punches die.

I used this sketch from Stuck?! sketches, although I am not applying for the DT, just liked the sketch.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #32

Welcome to another Inspired By Challenge.  The photo I chose today is not really me at all, hehehe.  I am not much of a girly girl, and don't wear a lot of color but I was really drawn to this photo.

So many ways to take this: the colors, the metal, buckle, pearls, purse, fashion... Can't wait to see what you do!

I decided to use my Heidi Swapp Sugar  Chic papers.  Usually when I think of doing baby girl cards I think of the pastel colors, but for some reason when I saw this Sugar Chic paper by Heidi Swapp I had to try it.  Negative die cuts are the trend right now so I used my Cricut to cut out the letters from the cardstock and let the pattern paper show through.  I also used my Cricut to create the little outfit hanging on the clothes pins.

Don't forget to check out StopAndScrap for some great deals and to see some of the new stuff that is arriving!

Can't wait to see how you take this fun inspiration picture!

Inspired By #31

I am still away on my vacation and most likely having a great
time ;)

I love the coziness of this inspiration photo.  I would love to have a cottage with a kitchen like this.

I wonder what elements you are going to pull from this photo?  colors, kitchen, flowers, stripes?  Can't wait to see.

I pulled out the colors and the country feel of the photo by using my Lily Bee Handmade papers.  The stamps are Kitchen Gadgets and Kitchen Gadgets 2 from The Alley Way Stamps, and I cut the sentiment with my cricut - From My Kitchen cartridge.

This is the first challenge of the month so I will have a prize. So be sure to play along!
